Although you can book an Adelaide Airport car rental through Alamo’s website, it’s important to note that their Adelaide Airport operation is actually serviced by Europcar. In addition to Alamo/Europcar, there are four other major rental car companies at Adelaide Airport; Hertz, Budget, Thrifty and Avis.
As mentioned at the beginning of this post, you can use the Alamo website to reserve an Adelaide Airport rental car. In fact, it’s fairly easy to do. To start, simply visit Alamo.com. Click the “Find a Location” icon, then Australia, then Adelaide, and choose Adelaide Airport.
Next, enter your “Pickup Date” and “Dropoff Date.” For this example, I will use 10/28 at noon for my pickup date, and 10/31 at 10:00 AM for my dropoff date.
That’s all the information you need to enter, so you can now click “Go.” Alamo will promptly returned the list of available rental cars and their prices. This will include the economy, compact, midsize, standard, full-size, SUV, premium, luxury, full-size wagon, minivan, van and convertible.
To give you an idea of Alamo’s prices, if I reserved the economy vehicle, it would only cost me $100.20. However, since the economy is a manual, if I want an automatic, I can upgrade to the compact for only $1.28 more.
If I decide I need a bigger vehicle, I can rent an SUV from Alamo for less than $225. And if I decide I want to drive in true style during my trip, I can reserve their luxury car, which is an Audi A6 or similar, for just under $300.
